Kelly is the founder of ParaProof.  She is a former paralegal with a passion for proofreading.  Her journey into the freelance world began in early 2015 while staying home with her two young boys.  Although she loved being a stay-at-home mom, she still had that nagging feeling that she needed to be doing more, to have a purpose, so to speak.  She knew there had to be a way to incorporate her love for the legal field and her paralegal experience with her passion for reading and editing.  After hours of scouring the internet for legitimate work-from-home careers, Kelly decided to take matters into her own hands and control her own future.  In order to solidify her proofreading skills, she took and successfully passed an intensive online course called, Transcript Proofreading: Theory and Practice™  and  received  her  Certificate of Completion in July 2015.  ParaProof was born shortly thereafter.

 

 

Throughout her career, Kelly has proofread thousands of pages of transcripts ranging in topics from intellectual property to medicine.  She knows that expert testimony will be loaded with technical terms, so she takes extra time to research each and every term to make certain the spelling and/or capitalization is correct.  Not only that, she pores over every word of the transcript, from the title page to the certificate, making sure that words are spelled correctly, used correctly, and that the punctuation is correct. Kelly's goal is to make you look amazing!
